Bigger Breakfasts Related To Weight Loss, Study Confirms

Producing breakfast the biggest meal of the day will help to speed up weight loss, a new study has found.

Research workers from a combined survey between public health institutes in California and the Czech Republic discovered that the frequency and timings of our meals play the key role in identifying BMI (Body Mass Index).

The crew analysed data collected from 50, 000 individuals in a long-term study on lifestyle and diet.

Their results were evident that making supper the largest food of the day and consuming snacks during the day were related to a higher BMI among individuals.

Conversely, not skipping breakfast and consuming it as the largest of three meals during the day caused the most important decrease in BMI.

Dr. Hana Kahleová, leading the study, stated the results prove the age-old adage: "Eat breakfast similar to a king, lunch similar to a prince, and dinner similar to a pauper."

As a weight management technique, she suggests staying away from snacks and also making the most of breakfast as a primary meal.

Several nutrition researches have highlighted the importance of breakfast with regards to leading a healthy lifestyle.

A 2005 study discovered that people who skipped breakfast were very likely to compensate later in the day with processed carbs and fats, and also less fruit and veg.

When it comes to what to eat, whole-grain cereal or porridge are each good choices, since they have high levels of fiber and slow-release energy to allow you to focus during the day.
